Irvine
Irvine is one of the largest planned urban communities, developed by the Irvine Company. Irvine is divided into townships that contain homes of similar design, along with shopping centers, churches and schools. In 2008 Irvine was chosen by CNN Money as the 4th best place to live in the U.S.
Climate
Irvine is in the heart of sunny Southern California which means it enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with warm-to-hot summers and cool-to-warm winters. The average yearly temperature is 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
Getting Around
Irvine has a state-of-the-art transportation system. The Metrolink is not only inexpensive, it offers stops from Oceanside in northern San Diego County to Orange County and downtown Los Angeles. If don’t need to travel far consider the bus which has over 6,200 stops within Orange County.
